Wee had a visit from some local friends the other day...seems they too are practicing social distancing.

Family News - Oregon and CA

Hi all,
We are doing well, holed up in our home for probably another two weeks at least. We have a friend shopping once a week for us and we have enough wood for heating the house, electricity, lots of games, a good, quiet walking road, access to movies, and living from the heart as a daily practice.

They grow up fast, so wanted to keep you posted on our grandchild -
Oregon is now asking all citizens to stay home, as of today. They are doing well with the new addition and had to cancel their trip to see up this past week. Hopefully, we will get to visit in July. ...

Happy St. Patty's Day

Wishing a happy St. Patrick's Day to all you lads and lasses.  Like many others I have visited Ancestry.com and taken the swab test.  Seems we ARE IRISH after all.  My test showed 28%, and in doing a little research I found that we have two sets of Third great-grandparents on the Kane side who were born in Ireland and came over in the 1850's.  Check out the movie, BROOKLYN, if you haven't seen it.  This could be the story of our ancestors.  So down a pint for John and Bridget Foley and the as yet undiscovered parents of Patrick W. (a/k/a William P.) Kane, all of whom were born in Ireland.
