And another grandchild moves forward…this past weekend was a memorable one for Summer and the rest of our family. Last Thursday, she competed in the Sun Belt Conference Track and Field Championships in the 10K event where she set a personal best, and on Saturday, skipping graduation, she competed in the 3K race, finishing second on her team.
On Monday, because of the
conflict with the school’s graduation which was held on Saturday, a special
graduation ceremony was held for all of the athletes who were unable to attend
on Saturday. At that time Summer was presented with her Bachelor of Nursing
Degree and will be flying off to Denver to begin her career in a few months
after which we all moved to Summer’s house where Tiffany threw a lavish
farewell party for all of the graduates and their families.
Congratulations, Summer...and Tiffany and Antar...it was a family affair.
