Late fall/early winter I discovered this caterpillar beginning to form her chrysalis. The chrysalis looks like a beautiful jade with gold embellishments. The emerging butterfly was a treat to catch.

We've never had a butterfly in our house, but we have had ladybugs winter in our hallway. Isn't nature amazing?
