Happy Birthday, Larry. Thought I'd see what happened on the day you were born - fun facts - (been watching re-runs of The Big Bank Theory) :) on 2-9-45: It was a Friday; Top USA song - Saturday Night (is the loneliest night of the week) by Frankie Carle & His Orchestra; Mia Farrow was born; WWI - The Battle of the Atlantic: HMS Venturer sinks U-864 off coast of Fedje, Norway (both were submarines); Franklin D. Roosevelt (Dem) was President; Winston Churchill was UK PM; Pope Pius XII was Catholic Church leader; and The Enchanted Cottage was one of the most viewed movies released in 1945. Not sure why your birth didn't make the list, but I know it made mine. Happy Birthday, Larry. Love, Rosie PS LMK if I have the year wrong - I have mom's old birthday card book and she wrote '45 next to your name. :)
You got it right, Rosie...1945. Thanks for the memories... I will have to check out The Enchanted Cottage, never heard of that one. It's a great so far, got up and walked my 3 miles in 40 degree sunshine, had lunch with Georgia in Black Mountain, and will have dinner with Larry Jr and Lauren this evening. Good all around. Thanks to all for the good wishes.
Thank you for your kind words, Bill. Your recent posts have inspired us all, as well, at times like this we all need to speak out, whichever side we are on. Dialog is important to understanding.
