There are many milestones in our lives - birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, births, etc.; some more remarkable than others. We recently celebrated one of those remarkable milestones in our home. In January, Georgia completed her 20th year on dialysis. She has been without a working kidney for over 29 years. This 20-year anniversary is celebrated by a very few number of dialysis patients, as the mortality rate for dialysis patients is 25%. It has been Georgia's remarkable courage, strength, and fortitude which has held her up through all those years. I am very proud of her and hope you are also.

More guts than most people I've ever met. Congratulations Georgia!
Thanks, Neil and Kathy It is amazing just how well I am doing. Guess I have to credit some good doctors at this point!! Love you, Georgia
The spirit of peace and loving kindness is a great gift which keeps the heart young and ever new; you possess this bountifully.
Love you both. Congrats....
Any survival on dialysis requires a team effort, so congrats to the team, Larry & Georgia. From my bygone internship days I remember that those who survived on dialysis had a strong will to live. I wish we could bottle some of Georgia's.
Love Mike & Thelma
Just found the new blog, so thanks to Larry Jr.
